Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Research Administrator in the Office of Sponsored Projects to support the Proposal Team in securing and stewarding external funding. The role emphasizes proposal review, submission, and account management within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Pre-Award team, tracking action items, and assisting with document collection while contributing to UT Austin’s research mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 1 year of experience with preparation and submission of sponsored project proposals or administration of project accounts.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work in a team setting and independently in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to shift focus and manage competing priorities.
• Professional demeanor and effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with OSP Operations Team to monitor and manage incoming proposal-related action items and Pre-Award messages.
• Follow up on status of outstanding actions in a timely manner.
• Assist with document collection as instructed by Pre-Award Managers.
