Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a Practice Administrator II DoP to oversee the administrative and financial operations of a medium-to-large practice with multiple locations. The role requires onsite work with potential for a hybrid arrangement after training.

You will collaborate with satellite leadership to ensure site success, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the Director, Department Administrator and Clinical Chair.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and skills to solve complex problems in clinical/research operations, business planning, financial management, marketing, personnel and information systems management.
• Ability to effectively manage employees within a unit and influence peer managers on issues impacting the unit.
• Ability to navigate conflicting views and mediate fair solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operational efficiency, throughput, and coverage for assigned clinical areas.
• Collaborates with HR, Department Administrator and physician/nurse leaders to manage staffing and develop staff.
• Prepares and monitors department budgets with leaders; tracks variances against budget expectations.
• Ensures compliance with government regulations and third-party payor requirements.
• Acts as administrative liaison between department and hospital departments; serves on hospital task forces as needed.
• Interacts with Program Chiefs, Hospital Department Administrators, and Nursing leadership routinely.
• Supports development of disease-specific clinical outcome metrics and drives workflow improvements.
• Collaborates to plan and implement the strategic vision for the department's clinical components.
