Job Title: Senior Practice Manager

Department: Cancer Center Perelman

Location: Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine - 3400 Civic Center Blvd

Hours: Mon-Fri office hours per department needs

Summary

  • This is a Cancer Service Line Senior Practice Manager position for PCAM 4 and PCAM 1. In collaboration with leadership, the Senior Practice Manager provides strategic operational leadership and direction regarding all administrative, financial, regulatory, quality, human resources, patient/employee satisfaction, and clinical aspects for the scope:
  • 15+ staff directly and indirectly managed
  • 20,000+ budgeted annual visits
  • Complexity factors include multiple practice locations, high practice/facility square footage, service line oversight, inpatient services coordination, care across departments, research involvement, clinical programs, multiple specialties, regulatory requirements, external partnerships.
Ensure management of daily practice operations run efficiently and effectively, including patient scheduling, billing, coordination of services, quality care, patient satisfaction, financial goals, collaborative environment, process reviews, regulatory compliance, liaison roles, and staff management.

Responsibilities
  • Internal Relationships: Engage with employees and physicians, solicit feedback, communicate performance expectations, support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • External Relationships: Build relationships with patients, families, external stakeholders, facilities, clinical groups, professional associations, and support development activities.
  • General Accountabilities: Understand role contribution, ensure safety, resource management, diversity appreciation, participate in safety initiatives, support strategic planning, ensure high-quality patient care, support quality improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, manage change, oversee financials, manage practice schedules, supplies, reporting, research, academic activities, recruitment, performance management, staff development, organizational health, workforce planning, and other duties as needed.

Education or Equivalent Experience

  • Associate of Arts or Science (Required)
  • 6+ years relevant experience, including at least 3 years management in healthcare; degrees may substitute experience; 10+ years experience considered in lieu of degree.
