Summary:

This is a Cancer Service Line Senior Practice Manager position for PCAM 4 and PCAM 1. In collaboration with leadership, the Senior Practice Manager provides strategic operational leadership and direction in regards to all administrative, financial, regulatory, quality, human resources, patient/employee satisfaction, and clinical aspects for the following scope:

  • 15+ staff directly and indirectly managed
  • 20,000+ budgeted annual visits
  • Complexity Factors include multiple practice locations, high practice/facility square footage, service line oversight, inpatient services coordination, care coordination across departments, academic involvement, special clinical programs, multiple specialties, complex regulatory requirements, external partnerships.

Ensures management of daily practice operations run efficiently and effectively, including patient scheduling, billing, service coordination, quality care, patient satisfaction, financial goals, staff engagement, process review, regulatory compliance, facility management, and staff management.

Responsibilities:

Internal Relationships:

  • Employees - Regular meetings, feedback, communication on performance and priorities.
  • Internal Partnerships - Support leadership in developing programs, services, initiatives, and operational integration.

External Relationships:

  • Customer Relations - Engage with staff, physicians, patients, and families to understand needs and satisfaction.
  • Facility Management, Clinical Service Groups, Professional Associations, Development activities.

General Accountabilities include understanding role contributions, safety, resource management, diversity, safety initiatives, strategic planning, patient care processes, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, change management, financial management, practice operations, recruitment, performance management, staff development, organizational health, workforce planning, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Associate of Arts or Science (Required)
  • 6+ years relevant experience, including 3+ years management in healthcare.
  • Degrees may substitute experience; 10+ years experience can substitute for degree.
