Job summary

Flynn Wright, Inc. is seeking a senior communications professional and writer to turn client priorities and strategy into compelling content. You will develop materials that strengthen credibility and visibility for B2B and consumer clients, leading content direction and mentoring junior staff.

You'll translate briefs into clear messaging across channels, collaborate with PR and creative teams, and apply SEO and GEO practices to enhance discoverability and impact.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of strategic content development, public relations, journalism or related communications experience; agency experience preferred.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills across long-form and short-form content, demonstrated through a portfolio of relevant work.
• Ability to translate complex or technical subject matter into clear, compelling content for different audiences and channels.
• Understanding of how content supports public relations, earned media, brand credibility and broader marketing objectives.
• Working knowledge of SEO and GEO content principles, with the ability to apply guidance from agency specialists and adapt as search behavior evolves.
• Strong research skills, attention to accuracy and familiarity with AP style.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit strategic content across website copy, newsletters, blogs, testimonials, case studies and press materials.
• Translate briefs and insights into content that reflects client priorities and brand voice.
• Develop content for trade media partnerships, including articles, scripts and promo copy.
• Identify compelling story angles and develop clear messaging for complex topics.
• Apply SEO and GEO practices to create content that supports discovery in search and AI answers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content with integrated campaigns.
• Research topics, verify claims and partner with subject matter experts to develop credible content.
• Manage writing assignments from brief to delivery, incorporating feedback and approvals.
• Participate in client conversations and adapt involvement by account.
