Job summary

Spire Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Specialist in Communications to lead writing, editing, and multi-channel content creation for both employee and customer audiences.

You will convey complex topics with clarity, maintain brand voice across digital and traditional channels, and drive engagement through thoughtful storytelling. You will collaborate with leadership and business partners to design campaigns, manage editorial calendars, and oversee high-visibility projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of writing and editing experience.
• Experience managing routine weekly content publication strongly preferred.
• Strong written communications across customer, employee, media relations, journalism, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture formal and informal relationships with Spire leaders and other employees across the company.
• Provide communications strategy, crafting materials to support objectives across emails, letters, web content, newsletters, flyers and more.
• Serve as communications team lead for high-visibility projects.
• Create and deploy content across multiple channels including external website, My Account, email, text, and phone systems.
• Develop content for Spire's social platforms and optimize for web/search.
• Lead writer for the monthly customer newsletter distributed to 1M+ customers.
