Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Senior Manager, PR & Communications to shape how we appear in the press, on our blog, across social channels, and with customers and employees. You will work directly with our CEO and leadership to craft narratives tying our platform to global trade trends and AI in logistics.

This high-visibility role requires crafting pitches, coaching executives for media appearances, and developing a calendar that links Flexport's story to major industry themes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience spanning PR and communications.
• Proven media relationships and a track record of landing meaningful coverage in top-tier outlets.
• Experience as a communications partner to senior executives, including prepping leaders for interviews and developing thought leadership.
• Strong editorial instincts and ability to build a scalable content program.
• Experience owning customer communications in a B2B environment during changes or disruptions.
• Ability to move fast with multiple workstreams and sound judgment on messaging.
• Familiarity with logistics or trade is a plus, but a fast learner with B2B/tech experience can thrive.
• Active use of AI tools to drive efficiencies in content, media monitoring, and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support Flexport's PR strategy end-to-end: proactive media pitching, inbound media management, press releases, and rapid response.
• Define and evolve Flexport's narrative and differentiation from legacy freight forwarders.
• Influence content strategy across blog, social, website, webinars, and owned channels.
• Build relationships with reporters covering logistics, trade, tech, and business.
• Develop and execute a thought leadership program for the CEO and senior leaders.
• Staff spokespeople for interviews and media appearances; provide media training and briefing documents.
• Monitor news cycles and insert Flexport into breaking stories and industry narratives.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Content Marketing to align content with campaigns.
