Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Senior Manager, PR & Communications to shape how the company shows up in the world — in the press, on our blog, across social channels, and in customer communications. This high-visibility role partners with the CEO and leadership to craft narratives that tie Flexport's story to global trade themes.

You’ll craft pitches to reporters, prep executives for interviews, and develop a content calendar that aligns with major industry trends and Flexport initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience spanning PR and communications.
• Proven media relationships and a track record of landing meaningful coverage in top-tier business, trade, and technology outlets.
• Experience as a communications partner to senior executives — prep leaders for interviews, develop thought leadership platforms.
• Strong editorial instincts and the ability to build a content program from strategy through execution.
• Experience owning customer communications in a B2B environment, especially during service changes or disruptions.
• Ability to move fast, manage multiple workstreams, and exercise good judgement about messaging.
• Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or trade industry is a strong plus; fast learner with deep B2B or tech can thrive.
• Active use of AI tools to drive efficiencies across content production, media monitoring, research, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Support PR strategy end-to-end: proactive media pitching, inbound media management, press releases, and rapid response.
• Help define and evolve Flexport's narrative across macro stories reshaping global trade.
• Influence content strategy and development across blog, social media, website, webinars, and other channels.
• Build relationships with key reporters and outlets in logistics, trade, technology, and business.
• Develop and execute a thought leadership program for the CEO & Founder and senior leaders.
• Staff spokespeople for interviews and briefings, including media training and messaging.
• Monitor the news cycle for opportunities to insert Flexport into stories and industry narratives.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Content Marketing to support campaigns and launches.
