Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a talented Current Product Powertrain - System Performance Technical Specialist in Columbus, IN. You will lead PPS projects, gather inputs from cross-functional teams, and drive design feasibility decisions with rigorous technical analysis.

You will mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and contribute to improving engineering tools and processes within the SPACE organization, focusing on system performance, aftertreatment, controls, and emissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM field required.
• Master's degree may be required for select roles.
• Licensing for export controls may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead PPS projects and investigations in OBD, engine or aftertreatment performance, emissions, controls.
• Apply system thinking and data analysis to identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Plan and execute testing, simulations, and field data analysis.
• Manage project schedule.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to other engineers.
• Lead functional excellence initiatives to improve tools/processes.
