PACCAR Inc. is seeking a Customer Field Test Engineer to support the Powertrain Validation team. The role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring North American field tests, interfacing with customers and dealers, and ensuring proper installation and maintenance of components.

The position requires travel up to 30% and on-call support. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering and strong communication skills are essential, with emphasis on teamwork and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent technical and communications skills.
• Experience coordinating technical work within and between organizations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and conducts moderately scoped projects with minimal supervision, including analyzing requests, defining requirements, and developing preliminary project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Designs test fixtures and specifies instrumentation, equipment, vehicles, loading configurations, and data-processing techniques.
• Leads and participates in data collection, analysis, field testing, and development of new or improved test methodologies.
• Prepares and presents reports, results, conclusions, recommendations, and performance or reliability observations to divisions or management.
• Fosters strong communication and productive working relationships across departments and with all levels of management.
