Job summary

PACCAR Parts in Renton, Washington, seeks a Technical Lead to oversee the 24/7/365 Vehicle Support Center. You will guide 20+ specialists across Renton, North Texas, and PACCAR Parts India, delivering expert technical direction and rapid case resolution.

The role demands deep knowledge of Powertrain and Emission Systems, chassis multiplex architecture, and electrical systems, plus coaching and cross‑divisional collaboration to improve case handling and training programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3+ years of vehicle and diesel engine diagnostics experience.
• Strong understanding of automotive/diesel OEM software programming and network diagnostics.
• Ability to coach and mentor to attain team goals.

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert for the entire scope of VSC technical support and primary contact for specialist case consulting.
• Provide direct Tier 1 technical support to Dealer Technicians via TCS 365, diagnosing concerns and troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues to cross-functional teams and manage internal escalations.
• Follow-up repair progress to maximize uptime and return trucks to service.
• Lead daily stand-ups, develop escalation processes, and monitor system outages.
• Collaborate cross-divisionally to support case handling efficiency and reduction initiatives.
• Contribute to training programs and documentation development.
• Create standard work procedures for case management and maintain technical content.
• Manage reporting for trending Field issues and present findings in meetings.
• Maintain PACCAR Engine and Electrical Certifications and stay current on technologies.
• Provide technical guidance to VSC Supervisors and Managers and align with department strategy.
• Collaborate with other VSC Technical Leads to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
