Job summary
Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr Automation Engineer for Powertrain to own PLC architecture, SCADA, historian, MES integration, OT cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0 deployment across Powertrain equipment. This greenfield facility role covers from initial commissioning through ramp to SOP, with rigorous safety and data-integration responsibilities.
You will transfer ownership to a Saudi workforce while collaborating across Production, Quality, and IT/OT teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelora00 degree in Electrical, Control, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 50 years in PLC-based industrial automation.
- Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
- Experience with MES integration and safety PLC deployment.
Responsibilities
- Define PLC architecture and coding standards across Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000.
- Own safety PLC deployment and functional safety compliance.
- Lead FAT/SAT for automated Powertrain equipment.
- Deploy and maintain historian systems for machine performance data.
- Own MES integration for production tracking, quality traceability, and machine-signal integration.
- Drive IIoT deployment, data pipelines, and analytics use cases.
