Job summary

Lucid Motors seeks a hands-on controls engineer to develop, commission, sustain, and improve PLC, HMI/SCADA, and MES interfaces for AMP-2 Drive Unit and HV Battery assembly. You will ensure Safe Launch, FAT/SAT, and stable production, while aligning with ISO, IT/OT cybersecurity, and change-control standards.

You will own fault diagnosis, traceability, and capability transfer to Saudi engineers, collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT/OT, MES, suppliers, and global teams, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on PLC-based discrete automation experience.
• Automotive/EV or powertrain experience is preferred.
• Fluent professional English; Arabic language is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot schematics, networks, I/O, and safety circuits using RCA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and sustain PLC programs, HMI/SCADA screens, and data interfaces for DU and HV Battery equipment.
• Manage changes through backup, risk assessment, review, validation, and post-change records.
• Troubleshoot faults across PLC, I/O, networking, and safety circuits; perform root cause analysis.
• Support FAT/SAT, equipment acceptance, and production-release activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, IT/OT, Quality, suppliers, and global teams.
