Job summary

Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is seeking a Senior Contract Analyst to prepare, negotiate, and manage high‑voltage transmission contracts.

The role involves coordinating across multiple business lines and with member systems to ensure compliant and effective power delivery agreements. Ideal candidates will have a engineering background, strong contract and regulatory knowledge, and at least eight years of experience in utilities or contract management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Power Engineering preferred) or related field.
• Eight years of progressive experience in utilities, contracts, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of contract law and government regulations for electric utilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, research, analyze, negotiate, and execute contracts and amendments for electric transmission systems.
• Coordinate contracts with internal teams, electric utilities, customers, and owners.
• Ensure compliance filings and contract administration with FERC requirements.
• Provide analysis of legacy agreements and risk assessment for internal partners.
• Collaborate on policy development and continual improvement initiatives.
• Travel as required; demonstrate ethics, teamwork, and attention to detail.
