Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a qualified software engineer to join the Power & Thermal/Limits System Software team.

You will analyze system-level use cases for data-center server platforms and optimize power, performance, and thermal management on ARM-based platforms. You will collaborate with hardware, systems, and test teams to deliver features that meet product KPIs and drive energy-efficient, high-performance server solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of software engineering.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of software engineering.
• PhD with 4+ years of software engineering.
• 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex system-level use cases for data-center server platforms.
• Optimize power and performance for ARM platforms.
• Collaborate across teams to meet product KPIs for power and performance.
• Drive enhancements in system architecture and software for ARM-based platforms.
• Develop algorithms to reduce power consumption and improve performance.
• Perform system-level optimizations using hardware and software-based power, thermal, and limits-management techniques.
