Job summary

PineQ Lab Technology is seeking a software engineer to contribute to advanced Power Systems EMS/SCADA applications. You will design, code, test and deliver components that interact with Electric Utilities and ISOs/TSOs, ensuring reliability of mission-critical systems.

You will work with Linux/Windows environments, C, Java and Oracle DB, and will be part of a team responsible for patches, fixes, and live-system readiness. Strong debugging and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with C, Java and Oracle Database.
• SQL, shell scripting, ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.
• Experience installing OS patches and 3rd party software such as Oracle, NetApp, etc.
• Hands-on with GitHub and ClearCase; experience with real-time or mission-critical systems.
• Ability to install fixes on live customer systems and identify root causes.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem analysis and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and delivery.
• Collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs and TSOs on functional software specifications.
• Design, code, test, integrate and tune applications to meet project commitments.
