Job summary

Themesoft Inc. in New York is seeking a senior software professional to design, develop and deliver Power Systems Application software.

You will collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs and TSOs to align functional specs and ensure reliable application delivery for mission-critical environments. Ideal candidates bring 6–8+ years of hands-on experience with SCADA platforms, real-time systems, and strong C/Java/SQL skills, along with OS patching and troubleshooting capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows OS.
• Strong hands-on experience with C, Java, Oracle SQL, Shell scripting, log analysis and debugging.
• Experience with OS patches and third-party software installation such as Oracle, NetApp, etc.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub and ClearCase.
• 5+ years on real-time/mission-critical systems and live customer environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Experience with Reliance SCADA (XA/21) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Electric Transmission EMS/SCADA, Power DMS/TMS and data modeling.
• Experience customizing and delivering Network/Transmission Applications.
• Experience with GE Reliance (XA21), Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider or equivalent SCADA platforms is preferred.
• Object-Oriented Programming and system administration experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and MS Office/Outlook skills.

• Work with Electric Utilities, ISOs and TSOs on functional specifications and application delivery.
• Support implementation, customization, troubleshooting and production fixes for mission-critical SCADA/grid applications.
