Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Project Development Engineer in Durham, NC to act as the technical resource for the DI sales team during pre-sale development of scope, costing and applications. The role includes post-sale involvement as part of the project management team on turn-key, equipment-only and specialty projects.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, 7+ years’ experience, strong CAD skills and deep knowledge of electrical power systems, NEC/IEEE codes, and DER experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Strong CAD skills and power systems knowledge.
• Proficiency in electrical power system analysis and estimation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical resource contact for DI sales team in pre-sale development of scope, costing, and application.
• Remain involved post-sale as a system technical resource as part of the project management team.
• Collaborate with sales, product engineering, and manufacturing to ensure project understanding and successful delivery.
