Job summary
Rolls-Royce is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer in Mankato, MN, to lead the design, development, validation and production release of generator set systems. You will provide technical leadership across the full product lifecycle and work with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to deliver high-performance, cost-effective power solutions.

Qualifications
- Associate degree with 4+ years of product design and development experience in power generation, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial applications.
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of product design and development experience in power generation, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial applications.
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline.
- JD/PhD in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident; eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, integration, validation, and production release of generator set systems and components.
- Develop engineering solutions focusing on performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, cost, and regulation goals.
- Own product definition and governance with CAD models, drawings, BOMs, specs, and documentation; lead design reviews and risk assessments.
- Lead verification and improvement activities by developing validation plans and analyzing test/field data; drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure production readiness and lifecycle support while mentoring engineers.
