Job summary

Rolls-Royce Corporation is seeking a Sr. Applications Engineer – Electrical to lead design and development for power-generation equipment within the Project Systems Engineering team in Mankato, MN.

You will coordinate with R&D, and customer accounts in a multinational environment, guiding electrical aspects of products and ensuring compliance with standards. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience or 9 years without a degree, and up to 30%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years electrical engineering experience in design, field service, application, sales or manufacturing engineering or 9 years without degree.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and development for new or existing products.
• Serve as technical authority for one direct account and primary engineering POC.
• Oversee generator set control systems, wiring harnesses, diagrams, and LV/MV gear.
• Verify drawings for compliance with specifications and codes.
• Prepare equipment specifications and review customer specs against MTU designs.
