Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to lead a Modeling and Product Development team focused on wind, solar, battery storage, and power equipment. You will guide modeling and control solutions across NAM, LATAM, EU, and APAC, accelerating grid integration and reliability.

You will mentor senior engineers, shape technical strategy with product owners, and ensure successful deployment from concept to commissioning with a focus on scalable energy systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of professional experience in power system modeling (or 8 years with a Ph.D.).
• Minimum 8 years of experience developing simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, Python, C, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Direct the Modeling and Product Development team, guiding technical growth, performance, and daily operations.
• Drive Modeling & Development: Oversee the creation and tuning of power electronics and control models using MATLAB/Simulink, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, PSCAD.
• Provide Technical Strategy: Partner with product owners and business development to expand market reach for solar, storage, and STATCOM.
• Support Global Projects: Deliver expert technical analysis, design studies, and commissioning support for domestic and international projects.
• Advance Standards: Shape transmission and distribution standards through participation in industry working groups.
