Job summary

Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. in Edison, NJ seeks a Senior Power Systems Modeling Engineer to lead the development, validation, and deployment of advanced grid models for utility-scale and distributed storage assets.

You will build steady-state, dynamic, and EMT models for battery energy storage systems and related power electronics, ensuring compliance with IEEE, IEC, UL 9540/9540A and interconnection rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; 8+ years in power systems modeling.
• Experience with BESS and grid-interaction studies.
• Knowledge of IEEE/IEC standards and interconnection processes.
• Proficient in Python or MATLAB for automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate steady-state, dynamic, and EMT models for BESS.
• Conduct interconnection studies: load flow, short-circuit, stability, protections.
• Evaluate performance under grid disturbances and support control strategies.
• Lead data pipelines from SCADA/EMS into modeling environments.
• Develop automation scripts in Python or MATLAB to streamline validation.
