Job summary

Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) seeks a Power Systems Engineer to provide engineering analysis and support for planning and operation of the Texas electric grid. You will model systems, develop monitoring tools, and ensure reliable operations in line with NERC standards and ERCOT protocols.

You will mentor staff, lead cross-functional teams, and prepare reports for stakeholders, including ERCOT Board and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Eight (8) years of experience in Power Systems/EMS/Planning.
• Experience in electric utility industry required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering analysis for planning and operation of the electric power system.
• Develop tools to monitor and control the system and perform system studies.
• Mentor and lead lower-level professionals; act as technical expert for the department.
• Communicate results to stakeholders and prepare reports for ERCOT Board and regulators.
• Lead audits and identify efficiency improvements for processes.
