Job summary

Bidgely is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to drive grid modeling and power flow within our Grid Intelligence product. You will own solver integration, the capacity digital twin, and end-to-end study capabilities used by utilities for planning and interconnection decisions.

You will partner with Product and Engineering to ensure electrical correctness, scale, and quality, while shaping how utilities plan the grid amid electrification, DER growth, and data-center expansion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in distribution system modeling or power systems analysis.
• Hands-on with at least one distribution power flow tool: OpenDSS, CYME, Synergi, PowerFactory, PSS/SINCAL.
• Experience with data models for networks, AMI/SCADA and forecasts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own how power flow is delivered inside the product and select/integrate a solver.
• Build and maintain the capacity digital twin and data requirements.
• Develop scenario, forecasting, real loading and interconnection study capabilities.
• Benchmark results against planning tools and defend results to utility planners.
• Perform rapid proofs of concept on utility data and turn into production paths.
