Theoris is seeking a Direct Hire Senior/Lead Power Systems Engineer to provide engineering consulting and commissioning support for utility-scale renewable energy projects in Raleigh, NC. The role emphasizes inverter-based resources (IBRs), grid interconnection, technical analysis, and project leadership.

Ideal candidates will collaborate with utility clients, developers, and engineering teams, travel to project sites as needed, and mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience for Senior Engineer; 8+ years for Lead Engineer.
• Experience with IBRs, generator interconnection, or transmission and distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of electric power systems and grid operations.
• Experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and commissioning support for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Evaluate IBR facilities, grid interconnections, and system performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Review engineering designs, construction, and operational practices.
• Perform technical analysis and prepare engineering reports.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with utility clients, developers, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
