Job summary

DND Staffing LLC seeks a Senior Engineer for electrical power engineering in New York. You will lead major design and analysis tasks for generating stations, performing load flow, short-circuit, relay coordination, and equipment sizing, while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, schedules, and vendor relations, and delivering robust electrical designs from conception to commissioning in collaboration with plant operations and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of electrical power engineering experience including power systems analysis and generating station design.
• Eligible for NY State P.E. examination.
• Proficient in load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination studies.

Responsibilities

• Directs or performs electrical power engineering assignments of major size or complexity.
• Manages budgets, schedules, scoping documents, vendor relations, and purchase specifications from conception through commissioning.
• Collaborates with Steam & Gas groups, plant operations, and external vendors to deliver safe, reliable, and code-compliant solutions.
