Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for Dynamic Stability studies and advanced transmission analyses. You will act as a subject matter expert, guiding complex studies, modeling practices, and cross-organizational collaboration to support grid reliability and growth.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering from ABET-accredited program (M.S. in Engineering may be considered in lieu).
8 years of related work experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

Lead transmission studies including Dynamic Stability, EMT, and advanced power system analyses.
Provide technical leadership for complex engineering studies and modeling practices.
Coordinate with MISO and PJM planning organizations for regional planning and study assumptions.
Review methodologies, assumptions, results, and deliverables from consultants and external stakeholders.
Mentor engineers and guide technical decisions across multiple groups.
