Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership for Dynamic Stability studies within Grid Stability & Advanced Studies. You will act as a subject matter expert for power system dynamics, supporting planning, regulatory compliance, and complex investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or Master’s as alternative).
• 8 years of related work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission studies including Dynamic Stability, EMT, and other advanced analyses.
• Support reliability assessments for transmission expansion plans and large interconnections.
• Provide technical leadership for complex studies, methodologies, and modeling practices.
