Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a senior lead engineer to provide technical leadership for dynamic stability studies within the Grid Stability & Advanced Studies organization. You will mentor engineers, guide modeling practices, and coordinate with regional planning bodies to ensure reliability while supporting grid growth.

This hybrid role requires strong analysis, communication, and collaboration across internal teams, regulators, and external consultants to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering; MS may substitute for GPA and depth.
• 8+ years of related work experience and PE license.
• Experience in dynamic stability, EMT, and stability analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic stability and other advanced power system studies.
• Coordinate with MISO/PJM planning and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight on study methodologies.
• Mentor engineers and present findings to leadership.
