Job summary

Citrine LLC is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer – Power Systems Studies in Colorado to lead the Arc Flash and Power Systems Studies team. You will oversee technical direction, perform complex analyses with SKM/ETAP, and mentor engineers while coordinating with clients and project managers.

The role requires hands-on modeling, field data collection, and adherence to NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards. Hybrid work in Colorado with travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical engineering, power system studies and related work.
• Experience leading engineers and mentoring staff.
• Experience performing arc flash, short-circuit, and protection studies.
• Hands-on with SKM/ETAP for system modeling and analysis.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, fault currents, and NEC/IEEE standards.
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams and project docs.
• Excellent written reports and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead Arc Flash and Power Systems Studies team with technical direction and project oversight.
• Coordinate studies using SKM/ETAP including short-circuit, arc flash, and load flow analyses.
• Perform hands-on engineering work, data collection, and field assessments as needed.
• Review calculations, models, and reports for quality and compliance.
• Guide development of practical recommendations to improve safety and reliability.
• Manage project plans, staffing, budgets, and client expectations.
• Mentor engineers and support professional growth within the team.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, utilities, and cross-discipline teams.
