Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking an experienced Senior Power System Studies Engineer to lead arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies for complex electrical systems. You will develop and validate models using SKM, ETAP, EasyPower, and ASPEN, review technical data, and prepare comprehensive engineering reports.

The role requires strong problem-solving, independent work, and collaboration with project managers, field personnel, and customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years in power system studies.
Experience arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies.
Proficient in SKM PowerTools, ETAP, EasyPower, ASPEN.
Willingness to travel and fieldwork.
Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical power system studies: arc flash, short circuit, and protective device coordination.
Develop and validate models using SKM PowerTools, ETAP, EasyPower, ASPEN or equivalents.
Review diagrams and equipment data, analyze protection coordination and fault currents.
Prepare engineering reports with recommendations and settings.
Coordinate with field personnel for data collection and site verification.
Mentor junior engineers and support QA activities.
