Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Staff Power Systems Architect to bridge customer needs with internal product engineering. You will lead power architecture discussions with hyperscalers and partners, translating system requirements into robust connector and cable solutions.

The role demands executive communication, deep HV/LV expertise, and proven ability to mentor engineers while influencing multi-year roadmaps and investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree with >8 years of experience in power connector, systems engineering, or related discipline.
• Deep expertise in high-voltage/high-current power architecture for data center, industrial infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers and influence roadmap with technical input.
• Executive-level written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for technical requirements gathering and strengthen relationships with customer engineering teams for power architecture needs.
• Lead translation of complex system-level power architectures into connector and cable technology requirements for product development.
• Act as senior technical spokesperson for power architecture discussions at customer leadership level, presenting strategy and roadmap alignment.
• Shape multi-year connector/cable roadmap and investment decisions in response to shifts in customer power architecture.
• Define specification frameworks and technical documentation standards across teams for new product development and design-in.
• Serve as final technical escalation point for complex qualification, validation, and design-in challenges.
• Represent the organization in industry standards bodies and consortia (e.g., OCP) shaping power delivery and interconnect direction.
• Provide strategic customer and market insights that shape long-range roadmap and new product development planning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the technical team.
• Identify long-term architecture shifts and translate them into product roadmap and investment recommendations.
