Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Staff Power Systems Architect. This customer-facing role partners with hyperscalers and partners to understand power delivery architectures and translate them into connector and cable solutions.

Lead technical programs, guide strategic decisions, and mentor engineers while representing the company in industry standards bodies. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree with >8 years in power connector/systems engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10–12 years in power connector/systems engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for requirements gathering and strengthen customer engineering relationships for power architecture.
• Lead translation of complex system-level power architectures into connector and cable requirements for product development.
• Act as senior technical spokesperson for power architecture discussions with customer leadership, presenting strategy and roadmap alignment.
• Shape multi-year connector/cable roadmap and investment decisions in response to shifts in customer power architecture.
• Define specification frameworks and documentation standards for new product development and design-in.
• Serve as final technical escalation point for complex qualification, validation, and design-in challenges.
• Represent the organization in industry standards bodies and consortia (e.g., OCP).
• Provide strategic customer and market insight that shapes long-range roadmap and new product development planning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the technical team.
• Identify long-term architecture shifts and translate them into product roadmap and investment recommendations.
