Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Senior Settlements Analyst Contractor to support the Power Settlements team during Project Phoenix. You will help migrate processes, develop pricing curves, and improve data workflows. Strong analytical skills and experience with regional power markets are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or computer science
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, business analytics, or power markets
• Experience with data analysis and financial reconciliation
• Experience analyzing large and complex data sets
• Knowledge of one or more regional US power markets preferred
• Experience in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support Project Phoenix activities to enable migration to new systems and respond to changing processes.
• Support development, maintenance, and updates to market index and pass-through pricing curves used for billing.
• Assist with process improvements using SQL, Power Query, DAX, Python, or Excel.
• Collaborate with Energy Management Settlements and Accounting teams to improve settlement processes and data.
• Partner across Portfolio Management, Pricing, Operations, IT, Accounting, and external vendors for accurate data and end-to-end processes.
• Provide stakeholders with accessible and user-friendly settlements data.
• Work with Load Forecasting and IT to improve forecast reliability and data integrity.
• Support month-end revenue, cost-of-goods-sold, and gross margin variance analyses.
• Communicate results to stakeholders and assist with variance explanations.
• Support ISO invoice validation and coordination with Accounting for GL entries.
• Assist with dispute resolution with ISOs and counterparties as needed
