The role emphasizes robust data analysis, risk assessment, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in energy or related field; candidate at lower level possible.
• Self-starting and able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication at all levels.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with information systems.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and settle company trading books for diverse power transactions including tolling, capacity, firming and shaping.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies to reflect final trading positions and prices.
• Decompose contracts to settle component parts.
• Assist with monthly forecasts for flash operating results and month-end close.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheet models to value energy assets and contracts.
• Manage energy contracts ensuring compliance with provisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams on implementation and negotiations.
• Monitor market performance and updates related to settlements.
• Translate ISO policy changes into settlement design and processes.
• Identify data issues root causes and recommend solutions.
• Prepare and manage daily margin status and agreements for power.
• Support testing of system enhancements and other requests.
• Adhere to internal controls and assess control effectiveness.
• Structure data analysis projects to meet specific goals.
• Understand energy management systems and build tools to enhance capabilities.
