Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an experienced startup manager to lead commissioning and startup activities for large-scale power EPC projects. You will allocate resources, drive CPM-based schedules, and supervise engineers and technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and contract compliance across the startup lifecycle.

Travel is required with per diem and a company vehicle; the role emphasizes continuous improvement, strong client relations, and hands-on leadership in a 100% ESOP-owned

Qualifications

• 10+ years of startup experience.
• Five years as startup manager.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).

Responsibilities

• Manages startup to operations turnover and final client turnover.
• Oversees startup staff priorities and activities.
• Develops and maintains startup schedule and packages to track progress.
• Maintains client communications and relationship quality.
• Manages startup budget and man-hours; ensures contract-aligned procedures.
