Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Sr. Commissioning Manager (Power Plant) to lead commissioning of large-scale power generation units, including gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, and balance of plant.

You will work in the control room during startup and in the field troubleshooting, ensuring systems are ready for commercial operation. Responsibilities include owning schedules, budgets, staffing, and directing OEM field crews, with on-site work during startups, nights, and weekends, and willingness to travel between

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 5+ years commissioning utility-scale power plants in the field.
• Experience leading commissioning on multi-unit plants, not just single-skid support.
• Experience writing or owning startup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the commissioning plan from turnover to reliability run.
• Own the commissioning schedule, budget, and staffing plan.
• Lead the commissioning team and OEM field crews.
• Ensure a complete mechanical completion package before turnover.
