Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a senior engineer to provide technical support for power plant operation, inspections, data analysis and reliability improvement. You will develop reports, analyze heat rate opportunities, and lead root-cause investigations to maximize plant reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance planning, working with vendors and contractors, drafting technical specifications, and supporting outage planning while ensuring compliance with safety,

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of engineering, maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and environmental programs.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of power plant operation.
• Develop and present reports on key plant performance metrics.
• Evaluate component condition and repair options.
• Perform site inspections and condition assessments for maintenance planning.
• Lead heat rate analysis and optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and cross-divisions.
