Job summary

Atlas Energy Solutions seeks a Senior Construction Manager to own the delivery of power generation projects from pre-construction through commissioning. You will lead the construction team, ensure safety, coordinate with engineering and procurement, and drive early works to successful turnover.

This role requires extensive experience on large industrial projects, site-based work, and strong leadership across multiple sites and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience
• 15+ years of construction experience on large industrial or power projects, including at least 5 years in a senior construction management role
• Demonstrated experience as an owner's representative over construction contractors on projects over $500 million
• Experience across the full construction lifecycle, from site development and early works through turnover to commissioning
• Experience managing multi-building or multi-phase construction with large craft workforces
• Knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction for industrial or power generation facilities
• Experience with progress verification, pay application review, and construction change management
• Ability to lead a team of managers and to hold contractors accountable while maintaining relationships
• Strong verbal and written communication with executives, contractors, landowners, public agencies, and customers
• Willingness to be site-based for extended periods
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning and develop construction execution plans and sequencing input
• Own site access, logistics, and equipment delivery sequencing
• Manage construction real estate needs and laydown areas
• Lead labor force planning and craft housing strategy
• Define and procure early works packages (clearing, grading, drainage, etc.)
• Support contractor selection with execution readiness reviews and schedule assessments
• Serve as Atlas's construction representative to contractors for assigned projects
• Direct construction managers and field staff, monitor progress and reporting
• Coordinate field changes, RFIs, and design clarifications with engineering
• Coordinate major equipment delivery and turnover to commissioning
• Monitor manpower, productivity, and schedule recovery plans
• Enforce safety expectations and stop-work authority
• Lead mechanical completion walkdowns and turnover to systems, with coordinators
• Review claims and change requests with contracts team
• Report status, risks, and decisions to leadership
