Apple Inc. seeks an experienced Power, Performance and Thermal Architect within the Platform Architecture Team to push SoC performance and efficiency across Apple’s product lineup, working at the intersection of hardware and software to deliver excellent user experiences within physical limits.

You will extend the power, performance and thermal control architecture to new platforms, collaborate with SoC, power delivery and OS teams, and define hardware and software features to extract maximum

Qualifications

• B.S./BEng in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar engineering degree.
• Experience with computer architecture and power management.
• MS degree preferred; 20+ years of relevant industry experience advantageous.
• Experience with software performance analysis and optimization, OS implementation, and power delivery/thermal management at scale.

Responsibilities

• Extend SoC power, performance and thermal control architecture to new platforms and deployment scenarios.
• Collaborate with SoC power delivery architects, OS designers, control system engineers and platform power management stakeholders to drive high-efficiency system architectures.
• Develop and specify new hardware and software features to extract maximum capabilities from systems under power, performance and thermal constraints.
