Job summary

Karman is seeking a Senior Algorithms Engineer to develop and deploy control algorithms for power orchestration in AI data centers. You will work with the principal engineer on our control architecture, validating theories against real hardware and production workloads, and shipping robust software in Rust and Python.

You will help forecast, tune, and expand orchestration across larger data center scales and newer GPU hardware, staying hands-on from development to field deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in control systems and optimization, including latency, noise, and data issues.
• Track record of taking algorithms from concept to production in physical systems.
• Strong Python skills for prototyping and analysis; production experience in Rust or similar.
• Experience with testing, version control, and field-performance driven development.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and deliver improvements to control and orchestration algorithms.
• Own algorithms end to end: theory, prototyping (Python), production in Rust, validation and deployment.
• Define measurements of algorithm performance and build benchmarks and regression suites.
• Improve performance, robustness, and operability of production services.
• Drive R&D for future product iterations with experiments in labs and pilot environments.
