Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Sr. Construction Manager to lead field construction, maintenance, and restoration activities within Power Grid Operations.

You will serve as the single POC for PGO contractors, ensuring projects align with Duke Energy's specifications and safety standards and managing costs, schedules, and compliance across all phases. Responsibilities include coordinating pre-approvals, overseeing CAFs in Maximo, and guiding outage sequence planning.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field.
• 5 years related experience; or 7 years with High School/GED.
• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years utility construction experience preferred.
• H&S safety observations experience beneficial.
• Experience across multiple roles/jurisdictions in PGO.
• Knowledge of crane operations, rigging and DOT work zone compliance.
• Proficiency with internal tools and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead field construction management across project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet scope and standards.
• Manage project costs and schedule to meet in-service dates.
• Monitor CAFs in Maximo and support audits.
• Provide technical guidance during constructability reviews and outages.
