Job summary

Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, is seeking a Grid Coordinator to direct contract crews for overhead/underground construction and storm response. You will manage grid projects, ensure safety, and coordinate with engineering and stakeholders to maintain reliability across a large service area.

The role requires extensive distribution experience, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and the ability to work alternate schedules and storm duty as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive distribution engineering and/or construction experience.
• Seven years of distribution experience.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel; experience with Distribution Viewer, Fulcrum, ARMS, TCMS, JETS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract resources to meet safety, budget, productivity, and reliability goals.
• Lead pre-construction meetings, quality control, and final walkdowns.
• Communicate with engineering and stakeholders; manage multiple projects across a large territory.
• Support storm response and region leadership for outage restoration.
