Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a technical specialist to diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at customer sites in El Paso, Texas.

You will serve as the primary customer support contact, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation and safety compliance while maintaining the service vehicle and tools. The role emphasizes coaching technicians, following documented procedures, and delivering customer-centric service in field environments, with on-site

Qualifications

• Diagnose and execute complex repairs to generators and components at the customer’s site.
• Complete required documentation such as service worksheets and warranty claims.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools for readiness and cleanliness.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies in all activities.
• Develop and coach technicians and apprentices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt attention to customer needs.
• Diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer sites using specialized tools and documented procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on power generation products in the field.
• Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
• Complete training aligned with skill and business requirements.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
