Vantage Point Solutions in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Senior Power Generation Engineer to lead the power generation practice with deep technical expertise and strong client engagement. You will oversee projects, mentor staff, and guide business development initiatives across generation, transmission, and protection systems.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in power engineering, a PE license, and proven leadership in utilities or cooperatives, with experience in coal and natural gas plant design

Qualifications

10+ years in power systems engineering.
Minimum of 4 years leadership or supervisory experience.
PE license and multi-state licensure preferred.
Experience with coal-fired and natural gas power plants.
Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
Experience working with electric utilities or electric cooperatives.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering projects and oversee delivery.
Mentor engineering staff and support professional development.
Serve as a trusted advisor to utility clients.
Support business development, proposals and client presentations.
