Job summary

Sealaska in Coolidge, Arizona seeks a senior Power Engineer focused on transmission and distribution to support SCIP power program operations, utility-scale design, and client projects.

This on-site role requires leadership of multi-disciplinary teams, adherence to NESC and federal standards, and development of project schedules, budgets, and QA/QC processes. 12+ month project involvement with field validation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE or equivalent required.
• Active PE licensure in any state required.
• 10+ years in power utilities with leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with industry design standards for power utilities and federal design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution design and field inspections for transmission and distribution projects.
• Review calculations for cable sizing, voltage drop, and pole loading.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, safety policies, and project standards.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource forecasting; manage change orders.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC across deliverables.
• Support business development and client communications.
