Job summary
Sealaska is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Engineer IV - Electrical Power) to lead distribution design and power projects onsite in Coolidge, AZ. You will manage feeder design, calculations, and field inspections for public and private utility systems, supporting large rural and residential customers within the SCIP footprint.
The position requires a PE license, ABET‑accredited B.S. in EE, 10+ years in power utilities, and prior leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering required.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in any state required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Power Utilities.
- Experience directing multi-disciplinary teams (3+ years).
- Experience with power utility design standards and Federal Design standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead distribution project design including installation and feeder design.
- Review calculations: cable pulling, voltage drop, pole loading.
- Apply NESC and utility standards to projects.
- Develop project schedules, scopes, budgets, and resource plans.
- Mentor engineers and designers on project delivery.
- Perform QA/QC reviews and construction administration.
- Lead field inspections of overhead and underground facilities.
- Prepare technical reports for clients and publications.
