Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Engineer for the Power Electronics Test & Validation team in Wisconsin. You will own validation strategy for power electronics products, drive DVP&Rs from requirements through closure, and architect system-level test setups with HV/LV interfaces and comprehensive data acquisition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in power electronics development, test, and validation.
• Deep understanding of power electronics fundamentals (switching topologies, magnetics, gate drive, control loops, EMI/EMC).
• Demonstrated ownership of DVP&Rs and validation programs through production launch.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive verification and validation strategy for power electronics products from concept through production release.
• Author, own, and drive DVP&Rs: derive test cases from requirements, define criteria, negotiate scope and schedule, drive closure with evidence.
• Architect system-level test setups including HV/LV interfaces, load and mission profiles, thermal/environmental conditioning, fault insertion, and data acquisition strategy.
• Review schematics and define test cell layouts; specify equipment and lab capability build-out.
• Define and oversee test benches, instrumentation, harnessing, and DAQ; establish measurement accuracy and correlation requirements.
• Lead root-cause analysis of failures; drive corrective action with design and supplier teams; lead R&D and improvements.
• Establish test methods, procedures, automation, data pipelines, and reporting across the team.
• Serve as validation interface to design, reliability, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers; present results in reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians; review plans, data, and reports for rigor.
• Own HV lab safety standards, calibration strategy, and documentation quality.
