Job summary

Actalent in Milwaukee, WI seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and validate complex power distribution and electrical systems. You will lead architecture, component selection, and analysis while ensuring compliance from concept to production release.

The role collaborates with manufacturing and quality teams to deliver reliable products, support certifications, and drive continuous improvement on an onsite basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience designing electrical power systems and distribution equipment.
• Experience performing electrical analysis and system calculations.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD and analysis tools.
• Experience supporting new product development from concept through production release.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, power circuits, and distribution architectures.
• Define electrical requirements and create detailed design solutions.
• Perform electrical analysis including load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies.
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and component specifications.
• Design and execute validation testing for electrical products and systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.
• Support certification and regulatory approval activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Support product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
