Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled avionics engineer to lead digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design for lunar and space flight systems. You will own boards end-to-end, from concept through production release, and contribute to architecture trades, verification, and risk analyses in a safety‑critical culture.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration across teams, and ongoing improvement of avionics processes to enable reliable crew and cargo transport to the lunar surface.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience with electronics hardware development including complex circuit cards or aerospace products.
  • Experience with analog or mixed-signal circuit design, including analysis, simulation, test, and part selection.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and board layout principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and own digital, analog, and mixed-signal avionics designs that interact with spacecraft systems.
  • Own avionics boards across the product life cycle from concept to production release.
  • Support architecture trade studies, performance characterization, and controller roadmap direction.
  • Contribute to DFx, root-cause analysis, and test verification activities.
  • Participate in mission assurance, safety initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Communicate status, risks, and challenges to management.
